QUESTIONS

What counts, and how you are paid.

These answers follow the Referral Program Terms, which govern if anything here differs.

What counts toward my commission?

Payments a business you referred makes to DealStake for sending accounts and credits during its twelve months, measured before sales tax and after refunds and chargebacks. Complimentary credits and sales tax do not count.

Do lead lists bought through the Marketplace count?

No. Lists a business buys through the Marketplace never count, because the provider invoices the business directly and DealStake is not in that payment. DealStake never resells your leads or data.

When is a business credited to me?

When it creates its first DealStake workspace after opening your link in the last ninety days, or enters your code when it creates the workspace. A code entered there counts; otherwise the most recent link the browser opened counts. A business is credited once, to one referral partner, and the credit never moves. A business that already has a workspace is not credited, and a workspace you own or belong to earns you nothing.

When and how am I paid?

DealStake issues a statement for each calendar month, measured in UTC. A balance of $50 or more is paid to you through Stripe during the following month. A smaller balance carries forward until it reaches $50.

What does Stripe need from me?

To be paid, you give Stripe your legal name, address, tax identification number and bank details on Stripe's own pages. DealStake does not ask for or store your bank account number or tax identification number. Where the law requires, a tax form about your commissions is filed through Stripe.

What happens with refunds and disputes?

A refund or chargeback reduces the commission on that payment, and an amount already paid comes off your next statement. A disputed payment is held while the dispute is open and restored if it is resolved in DealStake's favor.

What do I need to tell people?

Say plainly, close to your link or code, that you earn a commission when a business signs up through it and spends with DealStake. Do not send spam, do not bid on the DealStake name in search ads, and do not describe DealStake as a lender or as arranging financing. A referral code gives no discount, and you may not offer one.

What do I see about the businesses I refer?

Each business's name, the date it was credited to you, the commissions it earned you and when its twelve months end, and nothing else about its workspace. A business that opens your link sees the name you give DealStake. DealStake never resells your leads or data.

Can I leave the program?

Yes, at any time, on the Referrals page. Any balance owed is paid on the next statement, whatever its size, and you keep read-only access to your statements.

Software, not financing

DealStake is not a lender and makes no offer of financing. Commissions are paid only for referring a business to DealStake's software.
